(258) George Wither a pseudonym of surviving "incognito" Marlowe (alias Shakespeare). Believe it or not! (2)

IT IS HIGHLY UNLIKELY:

that

 AWilliam SHAKESPEARE and B) George WITHER

used the  LIFE MOTTO*** of Christopher MARLOWE!

                               ***on his only existing Portrait Painting

Quod me nutrit me destruit
It is unlikely  that within a short time  William Shakespeare and George Wither  used the  same life  motto of Christopher Marlowe
("Quod me nutrit me destruit")
<----Marlowe had chosen for his own portrait (1585) at the age of 21.

Shakespeare in Pericles (Q1-1609) and in his Sonnet 73 (1609

 as well as  George Wither in his Collection of emblemes (1635 Book I /Illust.15, Book 2/Illust.VI)  only slighty modified Marlowe's Motto (see Faksimiles and Pictures)

There is logic evidence  that both Wither** and Shakespeare
             represent pseudonyms of a single author
(=surviving "incognito" Marlowe, in his "second" life),

** Do not trust-->Encyclopedias!
They do not tell you about a George Wither   born before 1588. I recommend George  Wither's  book : An A.B.C. for Layeman [1585] dedicated to William Cecil)
