(388) Who was Edmond Howes? Any relation to the Shake-speare authorship Problem? (-3-)

Why no  intellectual traces of the worlds most powerfull "brain"[Shakespeare] during his 25 years in London? -

As absurd as ridiculous as impossible!

John Stow's "Annales  or General Chronicles of England" were continued after his death 1605 by Edmond Howes.- Howes enlarged the 1615 edition significantly.

On page 811 he introduces  a list of modern present excellent poets (s.faksimile)

…have registred such as were most famous, in the high misterie of Poesey: by whose singular paines, and industry , our native language, has from time to time, been much refined: and at this time directly by them, brought to great perfection; and  the abuse of time, & popular absurdities in many wayes disciphered,

and amended (…) our modern and present excellent Poets which worthely florish in their own workes, and all of them in my owne knowledge lived together in this Queenes raigne, according to their priorities as neere as I could, I have orderly set downe…

This list of  the present moderne poets, (s. Faksimile ) raises unexpected questions.

--------------------

How can it be that Howes is so well informed about so many poets who lived before 1603 (lived together in this Queenes raigne)?

What may Howes phrase mean   "in my owne knowledge lived together...according to their priorities as neere as I could?

Why the prename of Shakespeare is abreviated to Willi. Could this have been done deliberately,?

Why John Stow 1605 didn't mention  these poets during his lifetime, but  10 years later Edmond Howes?

Were Francis Meres, Abraham Fraunce or John Harrington   excellent modern poets?

and so on ......

The book also contains an addendum on Englands 3 Universities (`Cambridge, Oxford, London's Innes) and descriptions of  their Colleges such as "Corpus Christ College  in Cambridge
