(72) Frank Günther: "Shakspere has not written any letters..."

Michael Struck-Schloen on  Jan.4th 2014 interviewed Frank Günther, best known contemporary German translator of Shakespeare in

   Klick-->" Radio WDR3 Saturday talk [at time 25,50 min]" . expired!

Naturally, he also sought to focus attention for a moment on  today's authorship doubts and debates.

Frank Günther's conclusion was that  we have an awful lot of knowledge about Shakespeare as a person, on Shakespeare's outer Curriculum, but we just do not know the inner biography :

    ... he just has not written any letter (...) a more or less boring life of a businessman , 

 Such a view  of  the " Banality" of the Bard  - (identical to the view of Prof. Tobias Döring, President of the German Shakespeare Society, ( s.Blog.Nr 6, 8, 20, 29, 31, 48 ) inevitably had to arise as long as one was forced to form a “post festum” image of a personality deducted only from the sparse sources, rather than to question whether there might be some "reasonable reasons" how and why it came to such a " precarious " point of view .
