(226) "Will the real Shakespeare please stand up? - Robert Gore-Langton's progress?

Robert Gore-Langton will no more approach the Shakespeare deniers with a dismissive sneer he was used to.

What a generosity!

Robert Gore-Langton Oct.27.2014 wrote a Review in the Daily Express on Alexander Waugh's e-book "Shakespeare in Court" under the title :

"Will the real Shakespeare please stand up?-"

He begins his article by confessing, that so far he never doubted that Shakespeare wrote the plays of Shakespeare.

After having read the book he confessed, that he is beginning to think, that "anti-Shakespearean cranks" might just have a point. "

....after all accepted that Shakspeare was Shakespeare without much thought because those who don't sound dotty. Yet they include among many others Derek Jacobi, Mark Rylance, Orson Welles, Charles Dickens and Mark Twain."

Gore -Langton seemes not to have changed his mind but he admitted at least he will no more approach the Shakespeare deniers with the dismissive sneer he was used to.

One cannot really call this "progress"? What a shame!
